Treatment of Symptoms of Swine Flu 

There are now antiviral medications that a patient can take when they start to exhibit the symptoms of pig influenza.  In addition medications can be administered to reduce fever and alleviate muscle pain.  It is important to stay hydrated so a health care professional will advise the patient to drink plenty of liquids such as water or fruit juice but refrain from drinking alcohol or caffeine.  In most cases no treatment is needed except plenty of rest as the symptoms of hog influenza will heal themselves.
